The fair is over but the outcomes will linger on. The recently concluded 45th edition of London Book Fair 2016 was a massive success reflecting on the upward movement of publishing industry. Rights were traded, deals were brokered, and talents were discovered. With visitors from 124 countries, LBF 2016 received well known authors. There were authors like Julian Fellowes, Jeffrey Archer, Peter James, Marian Keyes, Judith Kerr, Tracy Chevalier and Jeanette Winterson.

Like in previous six editions Impelsys had a notable presence at LBF 2016. Stocked with an array of products and services to offer to digital publishers and providers of online learning. Impelsys was one of the prominent stands in the Tech Area section of the venue. Through the entirety of the three days of the event it was buzzing with visitors and over fifty meetings took place with our CEO, Sameer Shariff and EVP Stefan Kend. The spotlight demo from Impelsys at LBF 2016 was the refurbished and trifurcated iPublishCentral. Which now comes in three flavors – iPublishCentral Ebooks, iPublishCentral Enhanced and iPublishCentral Learn. It will cater to the digital publishing needs of publishers and providers of online learning.

With keen interest shown by publishers in our delivery platforms and technology services, many of the demos and meetings turned out to be worthwhile. A good number of which could turn into a long term business partnerships. Impelsys’ stand was also visited by our existing and previous clients, welcomed by our CEO and EVP. The discussions were ranging from global trends in publishing industry to other business talks and personal exchanges. The STM and academic publishing circle was abuzz with how Read-to-Learn solutions. Were transforming the digital publishing landscape and Impelsys being one of the pioneering innovators was in the center of all the conversations.

Sameer Shariff, the CEO delivered a keynote address on “Why semantics matter? Adding the semantic edge to your content, right from authoring to delivery” on 13th April. Highlighting on how semantics can add another dimension in digital publishing and unraveling a multitude of opportunities.
